After graduation from the Faculty of Commerce of the University of Economics in Bratislava, Anton Bittner worked as a State Counselor at the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic. During this period of time (1994 - 1998) he coordinated activities of international financial institutions, such as: IMF, World Bank group, EIB and EBRD in Slovakia. In 1998, he coordinated within the Ministry of Finance of SR the first issue of government bonds in the amount of 1 billion USD. Anton also holds an MBA from Nottingham Trent University/Brno Business School. During 1998 - 2008 he worked for Central European private equity group Penta Investments as a project manager. He participated on several restructuring projects, for example: Slovak Shipyard, Komarno and VSZ, Kosice. He coordinated the elaboration of the complex manual Best Practices and Rules for all companies within Penta group.
